Boston Police on Hunt for Kidnapped Infant |

Twelve hours of panic started early in the morning...
Michael Steven Rauda was walking with his mother, Alyana in their East Boston neighborhood. Iliana was going to the courthouse to get a restraining order against the father of her child, Jose Lizama. She says that the two of them fought the week earlier and that Jose had threatened to kill both her and her baby. She also says that she has seen Jose in the possession of a firearm, possibly a revolver.
On August 9, at 8:30 in the morning, Iliana headed off to court. She was stopped by Lizama, who had pulled up in a white Crown Victoria with Massachusetts Tag #5192VR. He was with another person who police have not identified. Police say Lizama started an argument with Alyana, telling her that he'd hurt her if she went ahead with getting the restraining order. He then, according to police, grabbed little Michael out of the carrier in which he was sleeping, gave her to his accomplice. He then sped off with the child. |

Police in nearby Malden, Mass came across the Crown Victoria that was Lizama's alleged getaway vehicle. It was abandoned, but a short search of the area led to Lizama and little Michael. He was quickly returned to his mother, who breathed a sigh of relief after twelve hours without her son. |
