Teacher Runs Bizarre Sex Society |

In 1994, Gregory Allen Moyer was working as a teacher at private in Virginia. Police say he was doing more with the students than teaching them science. They say he started a so-called "secret society." Moyer and members of this group would allegedly get naked and do strange and sadistic things to each other. Some of the boys that Moyer convinvced to join him were 13 and 15 years old. While Moyer could convice the kids to submit to his sadistic practices, he couldn't keep them quiet about it. Boys at the school began to come forward with allegations of sexual abuse involving Moyer. The school fired Moyer and called the authorities.
When police began to investigate the allegations, they found a diary belonging to Moyer that described, in detail, and with photos, the events of the "secret society." He was quickly arrested, tried on 14 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. He was convicted and sentenced to twenty-eight years, but only three and a half in jail. Moyer was allowed to remain free of $50,000 bail while he appealed the case. Eventually, Moyer's appeal was denied and he was commanded to go to jail. He was to appear on May 10, 2001, but never showed. |
