Rich Kid Turns to a Life of Crime |
|
| |
Anthony Kuchta led the good life. Born to a wealthy family, he was enjoying a life of expensive clothes, nice cars and fancy watches. His narcissistic tastes included memberships to tanning salons and high class gyms. Tony was money-hungry, but he didn't earn an honest day's pay. Police say Kuchta started trafficking cocaine to keep his hunger for the life of luxury satisfied. |

Drug Deal Goes Bad |
|
| |
On the night of April 23rd, 1990 Kuchta and two others were arrested during an undercover sting operation run by LAWNET, a joint task force of the Michigan State Police and three local police forces. Kuchta was set to receive almost two kilos of cocaine after the trade off. When authorities brought Kuchta in for booking they discovered they had picked up a wanted man. Michigan State Trooper Tim Lienhard recognized Kuchta as the man who he had been after for over five years. The detectives ran his name through the computer and discovered that he was in fact a Class 1 trafficker-the highest rated drug trafficker by the DEA.
Rich kid Kuchta then posted his own bail and skipped town. After he failed to appear for his trial on December 3rd, 1990 police say this repeated drug offender has been eluding them ever since. |
