Heated Argument Turns to Murder |
|
| |
Police in Chicago, IL are looking for Jason Davis. They say that he killed David Ramirez after an argument over his friend's driving.
On November 14, 2001, David Ramirez and a friend were leaving a gala event held in honor of Mayor Daley. Ramirez was included in this event, because his father, a former Chicago police officer, had been one of Mayor Daley's bodyguards.
Ramirez's friend was driving, and as they triend to park outside of Puffer's bar on 33rd and Halsted, a pedestrian accused the driver of nearly hitting him. The man yelled, and cops say that a brief fist-fight broke out. According to officials, people on the street started throwing rocks and bricks at Ramirez and his friend. That's when cops say Hector Flores, who is now in custody, asked for a gun from Jason Davis and Mario Garcia, who is also in custody. Police say Jason Davis produced the gun.
In the meantime, cops say that Ramirez tried to walk away from the situation. Unfortunately, when he was about 60 feet away, officials say that Garcia fired at David Ramirez's back, striking him in the neck and killing him. Flores and Garcia were taken into custody, but Davis, the missing piece of the puzzle, has been on the run ever since. |
