Child Predator Linked To Assault Cases |
|
| |
Cops say that on September 19, 1999, a ten-year-old girl was abducted while walking down a Central City, Penn. street with two friends. Cops found the young girl several hours later in Fayette County, Pennsylvania -- 50 miles away from Central City. She was scared, but alive, and had been assaulted.
Luckily, the girl remembered a lot about her abductor. She told investigators the man wore a distinctive t-shirt with a cartoon alien on it, and described his car. Police believe it was a teal-colored Geo Metro. The child was able to give police a good enough description of the man for them to create a sketch.
Police believe the same man had tried to strike two other times in nearby communities, but was unsuccessful. On July 11, 1999, a man tried to lure two young girls into his car with money. Fortunately, they ran off. Then on September 10, 1999, police say the same man showed a little girl a gun and told her to get in his car. She was also able to run away.
Using DNA evidence, cops have recently connected the Central City Kidnapper to a 1988 abduction case in Hagerstown, Maryland. Now, cops are trying to see if they can link this suspect to any other abduction cases. |
